Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, held a meeting with Dr. Mohamed Farid, FRA Chairman to discuss strategies for accelerating investment growth and enhancing the business environment. The two officials agreed to strengthen collaboration, streamline services for businesses and prioritize investor facilitation

During the meeting, both sides agreed that Joint committee is to be formed to enhance GAFI and FRA cooperation, streamline processes, address challenges faced by listed companies, and expedite investment procedures. Regular meetings will monitor the committee’s progress and effectiveness.

The meeting also addressed technical matters such as cumulative voting; electronic voting for approving associations representing listed companies and fast-track services for listed companies as well as establishing a dedicated Unit to serve these companies.
