 Dr. Manal Awad – Minister of Local Development holds a meeting with Dr. Mohamed Farid – FRA Chairman at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital.

Dr. Mohamed Farid, FRA Chairman congratulates Dr. Manal Awad on her appointment as Egypt’s first female Minister of Local Development. He expresses his confidence in the Ministry’s ability to serve all Egyptian citizens and wished the Minister success in her critical role. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, Assistant to FRA Chairman and Mohamed Ayyad, FRA Media Center Director attend the meeting.

The meeting explores avenues for collaboration between the Ministry and the Authority to align efforts with national development goals. Both parties pledge to finalize capacity-building conference aimed at strengthening the financial capacities of Egypt’s governorates. Notably, FRA has successfully piloted this initiative in Damietta Governorate in collaboration with Dr. Manal Awad who was the governor at that time. The conference was well received by businesses, individuals, and university students alike. They gained a comprehensive understanding of non-bank financial services, their economic impact, personal benefits and accessibility options.
