FRA is participating in Cairo International Book Fair for the third consecutive year. The fair- held at Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo from January 23 to February 5, 2025 – serves as a valuable platform for FRA to advance its mission of enhancing financial awareness and literacy among all segments of Egyptian society.
FRA’s participation in the 56th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, held this year under the theme “Read… In the Beginning Was the Word,” includes Financial Services Institute, its training arm and key professional Federations operating under its supervision. These include the Insurance Federation of Egypt “IFE”, the Egyptian Federation for Financing MSMEs, the Egyptian Leasing Federation, the Egyptian Factoring Federation, the Egyptian Federation for Consumer Finance and the Egyptian Federation for Securities.
During the official opening of the book fair, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture visited FRA’s booth. FRA officials briefed the Minister on non-banking financial activities under FRA’s supervision and its critical role in fostering societal development and improving the well-being of citizens. The Minister also reviewed the diverse range of activities that FRA and its affiliates would be displaying throughout the Fair.
The Authority’s participation in Cairo International Book Fair continues for a third consecutive year. This consistent presence underscores the Authority’s unwavering commitment to a comprehensive strategy aimed at developing and enhancing non-banking financial activities. A key pillar of this strategy is to raise public awareness and cultivate a deeper understanding of non-banking financial matters among all segments of society. Furthermore, this participation aims to foster a robust foundation of financial, investment and insurance knowledge among both current and future generations. This knowledge empowers individuals to make informed decisions that can positively affect their lives.
As part of these efforts, FRA organizes a series of seminars exploring non-banking financial services and their benefits, while also providing educational booklets in clear and engaging language. These initiatives aim to promote financial literacy among all segments of society. Furthermore, the Authority will host a dialogue session next Sunday on microfinance, titled “A Tool for Empowering Entrepreneurs,” which will be held in “Diwan Al-Sher Plaza 1” from 12pm to 2 pm.
