Dr. Mohamed Farid, FRA Chairman conducted an official visit to the National Training Academy (NTA) headquarters within the framework of FRA’s strategy for human resource development within the non-banking financial sector. The Authority views this focus as the essential cornerstone for ensuring market efficiency and upholding the highest standards of governance and innovation across the sector.

During his visit, Dr. Farid met with Dr. Solafa Goueli, Executive Director of the NTA and Dr. Taher Nasr, Deputy Executive Director. The discussion centered on strengthening the strategic partnership between FRA and the Academy in the critical area of capacity development and building national competencies.

The meeting explored mechanisms for cooperation and development of specialized training programs. These programs are designed to elevate the efficiency of non-banking financial sector’s employees, ensuring they remain aligned with the rapid pace of global sector developments.

The meeting also underscored the shared commitment to raise public awareness regarding the non-banking financial sector’s pivotal role as a major supporter of Egypt’s sustainable economic development plans.

Dr. Mohamed Farid, FRA Chairman affirmed that the Authority’s strategy places human development and skills enhancement as the paramount priority to ensure the sector’s sustainable growth.

Dr. Farid stated that non-banking financial sector is witnessing tremendous developments, spanning both financing/investment tools and FinTech/digital transformation. Cooperation with a national pillar like the National Training Academy (NTA) will allow the Authority accelerate the preparation of cadres capable of keeping pace with these changes, leading innovation and applying the latest regulatory and supervisory standards.

He stressed that this collaboration is critical to prepare a new generation of competencies equipped with the necessary technical tools and strategic vision required to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the non-banking financial sector.

On the other hand, Dr. Solafa El Goueli – Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA) welcomed the cooperation with FRA. Dr. Goueli affirmed that the Academy is keen to dedicate all its capabilities and expertise to design specialized training programs that significantly raise the sector’s efficiency. This initiative directly aligns with and serves Egypt’s national vision to prepare highly competent national cadres at the highest professional level.

Concluding the meeting, both parties agreed to crystallize the discussion points into joint executive work plans, in preparation for launching a package of specialized training programs in the coming period.

This initiative underscores FRA’s strategic focus on training and experience exchange. It is worth mention that earlier this year, FRA under the leadership of Dr. Mohamed Farid signed a similar cooperation protocol with the Court of Cassation to facilitate specialized training and expertise exchange between judges and FRA staff.

FRA also launched the comprehensive training strategy for the Egyptian Insurance Sector in September 2025, with the aim of boosting the capabilities of cadres and building a second generation capable of leadership.

Moreover, the Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized the 7th  session of CFAT program in September 2025 for members of the Senate Simulation Model.

Furthermore, the Financial Services Institute (FSI) – FRA training arm- signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bayes Business School – City, University of London to train and develop the capabilities of future leaders in Egyptian insurance companies.
