Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has addressed inaccurate media reports surrounding its recent press statement on “assignment of rights” clauses in real estate developers’ contracts.
FRA clarifies that it has issued no new decisions or directives on the matter, nor has it prohibited the inclusion of “assignment of rights” clauses in real estate agreements. The Authority reaffirms that the mechanism remains fully permitted under Egyptian Civil Code (Chapter One, Part Four).
