- This workshop is designed to improve awareness and knowledge of non-bank financial activities and services
FRA organized a virtual workshop attended by approximately 80 officials from business development service centers affiliated with Nile Pioneers Initiative, representing various governorates. This event is a continuation of the Authority’s endeavors to elevate rates of financial, investment and insurance inclusion through the dissemination of non-bank financial awareness and literacy, thereby increasing the number of individuals benefiting from these areas.
It is worth mentioning that Nile Pioneers Initiative is one of the initiatives launched by the Central Bank of Egypt with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing training, consultations and linking them with financing and investment opportunities, thereby contributing to enhancing their capabilities and expanding their businesses.
The workshop covered the FRA’s role in boosting the national economy and non-banking financial activities through its sector oversight. It reviewed supervised activities like real estate finance, insurance, consumer finance, leasing, the capital market, and the movable collateral registry, with a focus on MSME financing’s importance to the economy and financial inclusion.
The workshop’s goal was to highlight non-bank financing options supervised by FRA and to improve center officials’ understanding of these activities, enabling them to inform entrepreneurs and SME owners nationwide.
This event is part of the Authority’s intensified efforts to empower individuals who support entrepreneurship and to strengthen business development centers as an effective bridge between project owners and financing sources.
