FRA board of directors, headed by Dr. Mohamed Farid, has issued resolution No. 159 of 2025. It extends the deadline for insurance companies to submit their periodic financial statements. This move is intended to make it easier for these companies to comply with the rules of the new unified insurance law by giving them more time to prepare their financial reports.
FRA emphasized that this move is part of its ongoing effort to create a supportive business environment that enables companies to grow and develop. The extension was granted after the Authority recognized that some entities needed more time to prepare their financial reports.
The new deadline for insurance companies to submit their periodic financial statements for the period ending March 31, 2025, is now September 7, 2025.
Moreover, Companies must provide their board-approved financial statements to their auditors by August 15, 2025 and inform the Authority.
On the other, Companies that have investments in one or more insurance firms will receive an additional 15-day extension beyond the new deadline.
FRA stated that it will continue its efforts to enhance the efficiency of the insurance sector by developing legislative and regulatory frameworks and implementing supportive policies that contribute to market efficiency, social protection, financial sustainability and economic inclusion.
