FSI Partners with Bayes Business School and CII to Conclude Executive Leadership Programme – Friday 1 May 2026

Dr. Islam Azzam:

  • FRA continues to leverage global academic alliances to invest in human capital.

Financial Services Institute (FSI), the training arm of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), has concluded its Executive Leadership Programme hosted by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in London, in partnership with Bayes Business School (City, University of London). This initiative aligns with the Institute’s strategy to cultivate international alliances with world-leading educational and professional bodies, aiming to advance human capital within Egypt’s non-banking financial sector.

Over seven intensive days, a delegation of 23 professionals from FRA and leading Egyptian insurance firms engaged in a comprehensive curriculum covering executive leadership, strategic planning, and institutional transformation. This was complemented by an advanced workshop on the commercial insurance cycle and a field visit to the historic Lloyd’s of London. The initiative ensured that participants are well versed in the international benchmarks governing the global market.

Dr. Islam Azzam, FRA Chairman underscored that investing in human capital is a fundamental pillar for enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of non-banking financial markets, particularly the insurance sector. He highlighted the Authority’s increasing focus on building international partnerships to facilitate the transfer of global knowledge and expertise to the Egyptian market, thereby preparing a new generation of leaders capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in the insurance industry.

The Chairman added that such programs reflect a continuous commitment to develop human capabilities and support insurance sector growth plans. By leveraging international partnerships and focusing on technological and educational advancement, FRA aims to bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical application, ultimately strengthening the insurance sector’s contribution to the national economy.

Mark Carberry, Director of Executive Education at Bayes Business School, expressed his pride in the collaboration between the school’s Executive Education unit and the FSI. He noted that the program successfully integrated the school’s specialized academic rigor with the FSI’s practical insights into Egypt’s non-banking financial services market, delivering a sophisticated and impactful learning experience.

He further emphasized the school’s commitment to expand this partnership in the coming period to design new training programs focused on talent development and the cultivation of future leaders within the Egyptian insurance industry.

Financial Services Institute (FSI) remains dedicated to broaden its international partnerships with world-class academic and professional bodies. This expansion aims to bolster Egypt’s standing as a regional center for talent development within the non-banking financial sector, while supporting the Authority’s mission to develop regulated industries in accordance with global benchmarks.
