• Farid orders Railway, Metro and Highway Accident Insurance Pool to exceptionally raise the compensation value to EGP 75,000, up from EGP 30,000.

Dr. Mohamed Farid, FRA Chairman orders Railway, Metro and Highway Accident Insurance Pool to immediately expedite compensation payments to victims of Marsa Matrouh train derailment.

He directed that compensation for the families of the deceased be exceptionally raised to EGP 75,000, a significant increase from the standard EGP 30,000. Payouts for the injured will be determined based on the degree of their disabilities.

Dr. Farid extended his sincere condolences to the victims’ families and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
