Total Funding from FRA-Supervised Entities Reached EGP 299 Billion by the End of Q4 2024 – Tuesday 11 March 2025

FRA’s reports revealed that total funding allocated through capital market and non-bank financial activities reached EGP 299 billion by the end of Q4 2024, as follows:

  • EGP 148.3 billion Stock Issuances
  • EGP 32.3 billion other issuances
  • EGP 36.5 billion Financial leasing contracts
  • EGP 28.1 billion funding provided for MSMEs
  • EGP 19.4 billion consumer finance
  • EGP 26.6 billion factoring activity
  • EGP 7.7 billion real estate finance
  • EGP 3.1 trillion is the value of movable assets registered at Egyptian Collaterals Registry by the end of Q4 2024.
  • MSMEs funding balances reached EGP 80.5 billion
  • Insurance premiums had amassed a total of EGP 25.7 billion by the end of Q4 2024.
  • Compensations paid by the insurance sector reached EGP 13.4 billion during the same period.
  • Private insurance funds’ Investments reached EGP 6.7 billion by the end of Q4 2024.

The latest reports issued by the Financial Regulatory Authority by the end of Q4 2024 regarding the insurance sector showed that the total value of insurance premiums amounted to EGP 25.7 billion. Property and liability insurance premiums amounted to EGP 14.4 billion and premiums of life insurance amounted to EGP 11.3 billion by the end of Q4 2024.

Moreover, compensations value reached EGP 13.4 billion, distributed as follows: compensations of property insurance amounted to 6.4 billion and compensations of life insurance reached EGP 6.9 billion.

It is worth mentioning that :

  • Property and liability insurance safeguards physical belongings, like houses, cars, businesses, and other valuables, from damage or loss caused by events like fire, theft or natural disasters.

• Personal insurance and wealth formation encompass various types of insurance, including life insurance, death insurance, accident insurance and other forms of coverage.
