FRA’s reports revealed that total funding allocated through capital market and non-bank financial activities reached EGP 718 billion during the first ten months of 2024, as follows:
- EGP 397.4 billion Stock Issuances
- EGP 31.5 billion other issuances
- EGP 88.4 billion Financial leasing contracts
- EGP 76.7 billion funding provided for MSMEs
- EGP 47.4 billion consumer finance
- EGP 55.8 billion factoring activity
- EGP 20.9 billion real estate finance
- EGP 2.86 trillion is the value of movable assets registered at Egyptian Collaterals Registry by the end of October 2024.
- MSMEs funding balances reached EGP 73.7 billion
- Insurance premiums had amassed a total of EGP 77.1 billion during January – October 2024.
- Compensations paid by the insurance sector reached EGP 35.6 billion during the same period.
- Private insurance funds’ Investments reached EGP 22.3 billion by October 2024.
The latest reports issued by the Financial Regulatory Authority for the first ten months of 2024 regarding the insurance sector showed that the total value of insurance premiums amounted to EGP 77.1 billion. Property and liability insurance premiums amounted to EGP 42.9 billion and premiums of life insurance amounted to EGP 34.2 billion by the end of October 2024.
Moreover, compensations value reached EGP 35.6 billion, distributed as follows: compensations of property insurance amounted to EGP 16.9 billion and compensations of life insurance reached EGP 18.7 billion.
