Key priorities include assessing tax implications of the Capital Market Law, conducting technical studies to recommend appropriate tax treatments for various market activities and defining applicable tax treatments specifically for investment funds.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Under the decree, the Committee will oversee system integration (e-linking) between the Tax Authority and the EGX. It will also review and update all previously issued tax guidelines to align with current laws and market developments, while establishing clear mechanisms for collecting and remitting taxes due on securities sales and investment fund activities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Furthermore, the Committee will develop a practical framework to train Tax Authority and EGX personnel, facilitate professional knowledge sharing and draft joint reference guides on tax accounting standards for listed and unlisted securities as well as investment funds. It will also establish clear classifications for investment funds to unify related tax procedures and treatments.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Dr. Islam Azzam stated that strengthening trust and partnership between Tax Authority and the non-banking financial sector business community stands as a top priority for all three institutions. Resolving these challenges, he noted, will boost the Egyptian market&#8217;s competitiveness as regional competition intensifies and new investment vehicles emerge.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">FRA Chairman highlighted the strategic timing of the Committee\u2019s formation, as it coincides with major structural developments in the non-banking financial sector aimed at introducing dynamic market tools.
