Joining the leadership tier, Toshiyuki Miyoshi, Grant Vingoe, and Mark T. Uyeda were elected as Vice Chairs. Dr. Azzam continues his pivotal role as a Vice Chair of the Board by virtue of his chairmanship of the Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEMC)\u2014the organization\u2019s largest constituent body, representing over 70% of global membership and ten G20 nations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting also witnessed the election of chairs for IOSCO\u2019s regional committees, with Waleed Said Al Awadhi appointed to Chair the African and Middle-East Regional Committee (AMERC). Additionally, Julia Leung assumed the chair of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC), while Jean-Paul Servais was elected to chair the European Regional Committee (ERC), and Christina Rolle was elected to lead the Inter-American Regional Committee (IARC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Azzam underscored that FRA\u2019s sustained leadership within such elite international bodies is a testament to Egypt\u2019s rising global stature and influence. He highlighted that this active engagement is instrumental in refining regulatory frameworks for non-banking financial markets, which directly enhances market efficiency and investor protection while safeguarding financial stability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that Egypt\u2019s chairmanship of the Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEMC) represents a significant opportunity to integrate the perspectives and experiences of emerging markets into international regulatory dialogues. This role supports the exchange of expertise and best regulatory practices, while strengthening international cooperation to address the rapid challenges and shifts currently shaping global financial markets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IOSCO is the leading international forum for policymakers and securities regulators, serving as the global standard-setter for financial markets.
